Youth Representation in Politics
India has world’s largest youth population. Indian youth need more political representatives who understand their dreams and aspirations. We need youth from all walks of life and from all strata of society to become the voice of the Young India.
If Bangalore became the Silicon Valley of India, that was because of the taping of the true potential of the youth of India. The Youth of this nation showed to us that with the right opportunities to harness their talent, knowledge and skills, they can beat the best of the developed countries and make India the IT capital of the world.
This is true even for the unleashing of entrepreneurial potential. From Zomato to Paytm, from Flipkat to Ola, from agriculture to MSMEs; Indian youth have time and again proved with the right opportunities and in the right ecosystem, they can bring about a revolution.
So why is that the political sphere of India has not harnessed the energetic and enterprising zeal of the Indian Youth?
The answers to that question might run into pages, but I don’t want to waste my time over the past. I am committed to create the right opportunities and and the right ecosystem so that the Youth of India can engage, evolve and bring about a radical shift in the way politics is practiced in this country.
In the words of Sri. Rajiv Gandhi, “I am young, and I too have a dream. I dream of an India – strong, independent, self-reliant and in the front rank of the nations of the world in the service of mankind.”
Only the Indian Youth can understand the dreams and aspirations of their generation. We need youth from all walks of life and from all strata of society to become the voice of the Young India and bring a political revolution in this country.
